IPL: Kochi wants to buy Sourav Ganguly

The former India captain Sourav Ganguly was unsold at the IPL auctions held in Bangalore on January 8 and 9. Finally a glimpse of hope for the Prince of Kolkata, Sourav Ganguly.

Team Kochi has approached the IPL Governing Council to allow them to sign the former India captain Sourav Ganguly for IPL 4. Kochi will be making their IPL debut in this mega even which begins on April 8.

IPL Governing Council has shown their surprise by Kochi's late intent but it won't be very easy for IPL Governing Counci to go ahead. They can do so only if the other nine franchises raise no objection to this out-of-auction deal.

If the Kochi deal works out, Sourav can look forward to joining forces with his old KKR mates, like Brendon McCullum, Brad Hodge and Owais Shah.
